Holmskioldia sanguinea

This is the most commonly cultivated species. It's an open, straggly shrub with a tendancy to climb if support is available. There are several varieties with flowers in red, orange and yellow shades.

Holmskioldia tettensis

This species has been moved to a different genus and is now formally Karomia tettensis, but is still better known by the old name. It has a more upright growth habit than H. sanguinea.
