Violets

Viola species, hybrids and cultivars

Family: Violaceae

This genus includes a range of annual and perennial species. Annual violas and pansies, used for bedding and containers, are probably the best-known here. The traditional sweet violets of the northern hemisphere aren't widely grown in Queensland except in the more temperate zones like Toowoomba. There are also a number of Australian native species.

More information to come in future updates.
